Washington DC Metro

What I have for you today are two photos I took of the Washington DC Metro. Both photos were taken at the Cleveland Park Metro stop.  Not surprisingly, the metro was single tracking this day, which meant I had some free time on my hands.

The first photo turned out to be a little futuristic, and I like how the second shot turned out with all the streaking lines.  Personally, I like the first one better, but overall I’m very pleased with the result!

Incoming metro!

One of my favorite times to take photos is when I’m out running.  The great thing about DC is that there is so much history around you, and that usually translates to PLENTY of photo opportunities.
Earlier today, I ran past the new MLK memorial, and thought I would snap this photo with my trusty iPhone.  Next time you’re in the area, definitely go check it out!

Using only my iPhone, I took these photos of the Washington Monument.  I really like how these photos turned out. The Washington Monument is traditionally photographed from afar but to truly capture a scene like no other, why not try play around with your composition as well as your point of view. With these photos, I wanted to capture the essence of the scene by not only getting the monument, but also photographing it from angles that you may have never considered.  Hope you like!

The White House Crowd

I haven’t got around to posting for a little while now but I thought tonight would be a better time than any.  Unfortunately, my flight from DC to London got canceled and as a result I have some time to catch up on some blogging work.  With that said, I still need to post my photos from this fall and I’ll start with three photos I took a few weeks ago near The White House.  As you might not know, a lot of crazy people hang out by The White House.  Sometimes they are protesting and sometimes they are just plain crazy.
The following photo is of a guy who walks around DC with a loin cloth and a spear.  You would think he would be freezing but I think he might be from some other world haha.  I think he is also due for a shower and a haircut!

Surprisingly he was pretty willing to get his photo taken, and was actually quite a nice guy.
The next photo is of another protester hanging out in front of The White House:

Hopefully I’ll be able to get in a few more posts by the end of this week, but until then leave me some comments and enjoy the photos!

Surely he must be cold
